Years of Experience

I became a school counselor in 2004.

A Little About Me

I am from Spencer County. I live in Dale with my husband and three children. We have a large extended family and spend a lot of time together. I like to be outside. I love hiking and trail running (although I'm not a very fast runner). I enjoy reading, binging on Netflix documentaries, and singing.

I am the youngest of four children. I was not the first child in my family to attend college, but I am a first generation college student. I do not believe a traditional college setting is appropriate for everyone, but I do believe all people benefit from some type of postsecondary training. I was to help students learn more about themselves before moving on to high school.

What I Love Most about School Counseling

As a school counselor, I get to spend time with students every day. I like providing individual counseling to students. I also enjoy collaborating with others to create new programs and activities for students.

Years of Experience

I have been a counselor since 2005.

A Little about Me

I was born in Florida and moved to Indiana when I was ten. I have lived in Santa Claus for 30 years. I have three daughters, including a set of twins. I enjoy being outside, watching crime/mystery shows, going to the theatre and being with my family/friends.

What I Love Most about School Counseling

I love building relationships with students and helping them navigate through their pre-teen, teen years. It is really rewarding to see students grow and mature through such a transitional period of their lives.

Years of Experience

I was a teacher for six years where I worked for the Jobs for America's Graduate (JAG) program. This is my first year as a school counselor

A Little about Me

I am from Waveland, Indiana, a small town in central Indiana. It is close to Turkey Run State Park. The town has less than 500 people, so I mean small! I have one sister, who is 16 months younger than me and is living in Portland, Oregon and is a dog trainer! We grew up very close to two of our cousins and enjoyed activities such as video games, swimming and watching movies! I currently live in Huntingburg and enjoy being with y friends, tennis, Netflix and attending sporting events (my favorite being baseball)! I enjoy the fall time and love pumpkin treats.

What I Love Most about School Counseling

I love working with students and sharing the many opportunities that are available for their future.

What We Do

The counseling staff of Southridge Middle School provides opportunities to all students that address their academic, social/emotional, and college/career preparatory needs. Through school-wide events, classroom instruction, small group work, and individual counseling, we strive to help students reach their full potential. As a new team, we will continue to develop and improve the services that we provide to our students.
