VISION:

Southridge Middle School commits to inspire and empower students to excel both academically and socially by integrating meaningful learning experiences which foster students’ curiosity and develop their communication and collaboration skills. Our students will embrace diversity, act responsibly, and contribute to their community.

 

MISSION: 

By the end of the 2022 school year, SMS will demonstrate: 

10% growth in ELA and Math ILEARN pass rates per cohort

90% of Special Education students improving 70 Lexile points 

60% of ELLs meeting their WIDA growth targets

 

Throughout the 2021-22 school year, all SMS students will … 

Engage in an SEL curriculum that enhances their overall sense of self and awareness of others

Participate in an enrichment series that explores the interests & futures of all students

Develop responsible & constructive behaviors through proactive & targeted PBIS initiatives

Set and review personal and academic goals quarterly 

Experience equitable and culturally responsive instructional practices driven through professional development
